Questions & Answers

What is Wounded Fathers Project?

A free educational community for fathers going through custody. We share plain information about your rights and court preparation, connect dads with each other, and point you to real help.

Is it free?

Yes. Signing up and the learning path are free. An optional framed printed certificate and an early certificate option are coming soon and will have a small fee.

Is this legal advice?

No. Everything here is general education, not legal advice. For your own case, talk to a licensed attorney or your local court's self-help center.

How does the certificate work?

Finish all six steps and the final knowledge quiz (you can retake it), and your Wounded Father Certified certificate is made out in your name and emailed to you as a PDF. Certificates are coming soon.

Can the certificate be used in court?

It shows you completed this course, nothing more. It is not a legal document, and the court decides what weight, if any, it has.

How do I get help right now?

Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741. If you or anyone is in danger, call 911. For help with housing, food or bills, dial 2-1-1.

Is my information private?

Yes. We don't publish your name, email or check-in answers, and we don't sell your information. Please don't post private details about your children.

How do mentors work?

Dads who have been through it can volunteer to mentor, and dads who want support can ask for a mentor in the Welcome Check-In. Mentor matching is coming soon.
